On January 1st, Pro Wrestling NOAH is hosting their ‘The New Year 2022’ event from Nippon Budokan. Former GHC Heavyweight Champion KENTA is returning to the company for that show and it was announced that he’ll be teaming with Takashi Sugiura and Kazushi Sakuraba to take on Masa Kitamiya, Daiki Inaba and Aiki Inamura in a six-man tag match.

The upcoming match is going to be KENTA’s first in NOAH since 2018 when he returned to the company for Naomicihi Marufuji’s 20th Anniversary Show. Seven days after ‘The New Year 2022’, New Japan Pro-Wrestling and NOAH are presenting their joint-show.

In addition to KENTA’s return match, it was confirmed that Kenoh is defending the GHC National Title against Kaito Kiyomiya. The reigning Tag Team Champions of the company, Keiji Muto and Naomichi Marufuji are scheduled to put their titles on the line against Masato Tanaka and Masaaki Mochizuki.

It was previously confirmed that the returning Go Shiozaki would be challenging Katsuhiko Nakajima for the GHC Heavyweight Championship on 1/1.
