The BOSJ/World Tag League final show will feature an announcement from Katsuyori Shibata.
New Japan Pro-Wrestling is inching closer to the finals of their respective Best of the Super Juniors and World Tag League tournaments. Both finals are taking place on December 15th at Ryōgoku Sumo Hall and a ‘major’ announcement from Katsuyori Shibata is going to be made during the show.
New Japan announced that Shibata is scheduled to be in attendance and he’ll be addressing the live crowd.

At the 2021 G1 Climax final, Shibata competed in a Grappling match against Zack Sabre Jr. that went to a time limit draw. It was Shibata’s first sanctioned match since April of 2017 when he suffered a hematoma while wrestling Kazuchika Okada for the IWGP Heavyweight Title.
Back in October, Shibata told Tokyo Sports that his desire to return full-time has only grown stronger since the exhibition.
