Ring of Honor has announced that Jonathan Gresham will take on AEW’s Jay Lethal at Final Battle on Saturday night.
The new match announcement follows the removal of ROH World Champion Bandido from the card after producing a positive COVID-19 test this week.
Earlier in the day, AEW president Tony Khan spoke with Busted Open Radio and noted that they would be “lending some support” to Ring of Honor for their card on Saturday night.
Gresham versus Jay Lethal is not being advertised as a title match with ROH stating they will address the World Championship situation during Saturday’s pre-show that begins at 7 p.m. ET and will be streaming online.
They are promoting Gresham and Lethal as one of two main events with the other being the ROH Tag Team Championship match where Mike Bennett & Matt Taven will defend against The Briscoes.
