WWE NXT 2.0 notes: Brian Kendrick calls out Harland, Riddle to appear, Styles/Waller

Brian Kendrick says Harland can meet him on 12/28, AJ Styles/Grayson Waller, Riddle to appear alongside MSK next week, Tony D'Angelo

Following Harland’s NXT in-ring debut last week, he was escorted away from the ringside area by several referees and producers including Brian Kendrick. Harland tossed Kendrick down a flight of stairs and on tonight’s NXT 2.0, Joe Gacy stated that Kendrick should be apologizing to Harland. Kendrick responded with his own video and stated that if Harland wants an apology, he can get it from him next week.

AJ Styles appeared on NXT 2.0 to confront Grayson Waller. Waller made references to Omos beating Styles down on the 12/20 episode of Raw and said AJ should not be speaking to him with a certain tone without his muscle behind him. When Styles asked Waller to fight him, Waller said he’s got next after Omos. Earlier in the show, Waller had a run-in with Indi Hartwell and reiterated to her that he is ‘responsible’ for Johnny Gargano no longer being with NXT.

Raw Tag Team Champion Riddle is scheduled to appear on the 12/28 NXT 2.0 alongside MSK (Wes Lee & Nash Carter). Riddle has been helping the duo find their confidence after losing the NXT Tag Team Titles to Imperium (Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel). Riddle will be present when MSK calls out Imperium next week.

In the main event, Pete Dunne took on Tony D’Angelo and gave D’Angelo his first loss in WWE. D’Angelo was 5-0 before tonight’s match. Post-match, D’Angelo ambushed Dunne and hit him on the hand with a crowbar.

The following matches have been announced for 12/28:

  • Dexter Lumis vs. Grayson Waller
  • Raquel Gonzalez & Cora Jade vs. Toxic Attraction (Jacy Jayne & Gigi Dolin)

Gonzalez was in action on tonight’s show and she defeated Dakota Kai in a Street Fight.
