The closing scene of Friday Night SmackDown revealed that Seth Rollins will be the next challenger for Roman Reigns.

Throughout the episode, it was stated that authority figure Adam Pearce would find a challenger to meet Reigns at the Royal Rumble before the end of the night.

Rollins had a face-off with Reigns backstage as the show ended with the two set to meet on Saturday, January 29th in St. Louis, Missouri.

The WWE Universal Championship match between them will be their first singles match since October 11, 2019.
