The report notes that Kingston is hopeful to return in around three weeks.

At the most recent set of AEW Dark tapings at Universal Studios, Tony Khan announced to the crowd that Eddie Kingston was sidelined with an injury. According to F4WOnline’s Dave Meltzer, Kingston suffered a fractured orbital bone and he’s hoping to be out of action for only “around” three weeks.

Kingston did compete at the Dark tapings against Joey Janela and he was a part of the commentary team.

Game Changer Wrestling scheduled Kingston for their Hammerstein Ballroom show on 1/23. There were back and forth exchanges through social media and media appearances between AJ Gray and Kingston on the lead-up to the show.

While appearing on the Battleground Podcast last week, Eddie said he had to check in with AEW to make sure he’s medically cleared and if he was given the greenlight, he’ll be present to address AJ Gray face-to-face.

Kingston teamed with Santana and Ortiz on the 1/7 episode of AEW Rampage to defeat Daniel Garcia and 2point0 (Matt Lee & Jeff Parker).
