Day one members of All Elite Wrestling are leaving the company.

It has been confirmed by All Elite Wrestling that Cody and Brandi Rhodes are departing the company. AEW issued a statement on their digital platforms from Tony Khan, who thanked Brandi and Cody respectively for their contributions to the company.

Cody and Brandi Rhodes were integral to the launch of All Elite Wrestling.

Cody’s ability combined with his boldness and his passion for our industry and his love for community outreach helped AEW deliver on our mission to give fans what they needed for fan too long – something new, innovative and lasting.

Brandi helped shape the AEW story, and I appreciate how hard she fought for us both in the ring and out of the ring, competing in the women’s division while advancing our efforts at inclusion and civic causes, including great partnerships with Kulture City and The American Heart Association.

I have immense respect and appreciation for Cody and Brandi, and I wish them both the best as they move on from AEW.  Thank you, Cody and Brandi!

Cody Rhodes also issued a statement on the matter and thanked all who he’s had the opportunity to work with in AEW. He noted that he loved his time in the company and is glad he was able to be a part of what was accomplished.

Brandi had been competing in matches on Dark and Dark: Elevation. She was last featured on AEW programming several weeks ago and had a pull apart brawl with Paige VanZant.

As of this writing, Cody’s last match in AEW was his TNT Title Unification match against Sammy Guevara at Beach Break.
