KAIRI f.k.a. Kairi Sane returns to STARDOM, set for 3/26 and 3/27 events at Ryōgoku Sumo Hall

The former 'Kairi Sane, now going by 'KAIRI', has returned to STARDOM and is scheduled for two events in March

KAIRI is back in STARDOM.

STARDOM held a press today and joining STARDOM CEO Rossy Ogawa for the presser was KAIRI f.k.a. Kairi Sane. She is returning to the ring for the promotion and it was announced that she’ll be in action on March 26th and 27th at Ryōgoku Sumo Hall.

As KAIRI conversed with Ogawa, she was approached by Unagi Sayaka and Tam Nakano. KAIRI is interested in the idea of being in a tag match against them at one of the Sumo Hall shows. Later on in the presser, KAIRI was ambushed by Odeo Tai.

The full cards for the March 26th and 27th shows are going to be revealed in the coming weeks.

It was in July of 2020 that KAIRI was last in action. She stepped away from WWE and returned to Japan but remained under contract with the company.

She did an interview with Proresu TODAY on February 17th and was asked about her relationship with WWE. She said that it has been very good and she couldn’t thank them enough for it. KAIRI added that they offered her a special position within the company although she had returned to Japan.

The relationship with WWE has been very good, and I can’t thank them enough for that. Even after I returned to Japan, they offered me a special position, which I think was exceptional.

In early January, Dave Meltzer noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that KAIRI’s contract was set to expire this month.

Her last match in STARDOM took place in 2017 when she teamed with Hiromi Mimura and Konami to take on Io Shirai, Hazuki and AZM.
