Friday Night SmackDown remained the top network program for the night this past week as it draws closer to WrestleMania.
The March 11th edition of the show from Birmingham averaged 2,226,000 viewers with approximately 745,000 (0.57) in the 18-49 demographic with data from Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.
The numbers were down by slightly from the week prior with the 18-49 figure dropping by three percent and viewership dropping less than two percent.
Friday Night SmackDown edged out ABC’s Shark Tank as the top show among network programming and also finished first in the 18-34 demo.
Males 18-49 grew by six percent this week while women in the demo dropped by thirteen percent. The 18-34 demo was even with last week’s performance.
In Canada, the show averaged 202,200 viewers on Sportsnet 360, which represents an increase of eighteen percent from last week. The 25-54 demo grew from 67,200 to 80,500 this week.
In overall viewership, it was SmackDown’s highest number in Canada this year and comes the same week where Raw posted its highest number of the year in the country.
The show included appearances by Brock Lesnar and Ronda Rousey, as well as a rematch between Ricochet and Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental championship.
