On Monday night, an altercation occurred outside Papi Steak restaurant where Masvidal allegedly assaulted another individual, whose name is redacted in the police report, but it is common knowledge that the person is Colby Covington.
The incident report states Masvidal allegedly punched Covington twice causing a broken tooth and abrasion to his wrist
ESPN reported that Masvidal was booked in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center after Masvidal’s attorney spoke with Miami Beach Police, who instructed Masvidal to surrender.
The online records on Thursday indicated that Masvidal is now out on bond.
Covington defeated Masvidal by unanimous decision earlier this month at UFC 272
