New Japan Pro Wrestling has announced the full lineup for its Dontaku event at the Fukuoka PayPay Dome next month headlined by an IWGP heavyweight title match.
On Saturday’s Hyper Battle card, it was established that Kazuchika Okada will defend the IWGP world heavyweight championship against Tetsuya Naito in their third singles match this year. Okada successfully defended his title against Naito this past February while Naito scored a win over the champion in the New Japan Cup.
At Hyper Battle, SANADA relinquished the IWGP United States championship due to his broken orbital bone. The vacant title will be decided at Dontaku in a match between former champion Hiroshi Tanahashi and Will Ospreay.
The event marks the return of Dontaku to the Fukuoka Dome for the first time since 2001.
