Gresham pulled from PROGRESS’ April 17th and 18th shows.
Coming out of AEW’s Battle of the Belts II taping, ROH and PROGRESS World Champion Jonathan Gresham was scheduled to make his way over to London to compete for PROGRESS Wrestling.
Gresham was scheduled for the promotion’s April 17th and 18th shows in London. In a video posted to PROGRESS’ social media platforms, Gresham shared that he is not medically cleared to compete and will not be able to appear at the upcoming shows.
Hello everyone. Unfortunately, I will not be able to make it to London this weekend for the Sunday and Monday events due to an injury. I have not been cleared to compete. So I do want to apologize to PROGRESS and the fans for not being able to make it this weekend. I really wanted to but, my health comes first and I have to just take a little time off so, you know, once I’m cleared, I will definitely be back and I really look forward to being back and working with PROGRESS and performing for you guys. So, you know, if you can just please keep me in your prayers, I’d really appreciate it so, I’ll see you all next time and thank you for understanding.

Today, Gresham was going to defend the PROGRESS Title against Chris Ridgeway and on the 18th, he was taking on Gene Munny.
Gresham became PROGRESS World Champion in March by defeating Cara Noir. He ended Noir’s near two-year reign as champion. Gresham is the first non-European born wrestler to hold the PROGRESS World Title.
