Kingston issued a challenge to Ishii last Saturday at the Windy City Riot following Ishii’s win against Minoru Suzuki.
Kingston entered the ring wearing a Terry Funk t-shirt and acknowledged Ishii’s trainers Genichiro Tenryu and Riki Choshu while noting he lives and breathes King’s Road a.k.a. All Japan Pro Wrestling.
The same show saw Jon Moxley issue a challenge to Hiroshi Tanahashi for the event in Washington and an angle for Suzuki to face Brody King at next month’s show, although neither match has officially been announced yet.
