NBCUniversal held its upfront presentation on Monday morning and issued its fall schedule including a new night for “Young Rock”.
The series starring and profiling Dwayne Johnson was recently picked up for its third season but will be moving to Friday nights beginning in November 2022.
Young Rock will be part of a one-hour comedy block on Friday nights for NBC with George Lopez’s “Lopez vs. Lopez” airing at 8 p.m. ET followed by Young Rock.
Viewership for season two of Young Rock has decreased since its first season and is currently averaging 2,148,000 viewers and 0.37 in 18-49 this season.
The series will also air head-to-head with Friday Night SmackDown on the east coast with the series going deeper into Johnson’s professional wrestling career in WWE.
