Matt Cardona tore his bicep at GCW 'Downward Spiral' and noted that surgery is needed

Cardona’s injury will require surgery.

On May 28th, Matt Cardona competed in two matches. He lost the IMPACT Wrestling Digital Media Title to Rich Swann at The Wrestling REVOLVER’s event and then went on to face Blake Christian at GCW ‘Downward Spiral’. During his second match, Cardona suffered an injury which he has since confirmed to be a torn bicep.

He shared the news on his social media platforms and noted that surgery is needed and he will need to cancel some dates.

Cardona is in possession of the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Title and is scheduled to defend the belt against Nick Aldis at the ‘Alwayz Ready’ pay-per-view.

In addition to the NWA Worlds Title, Cardona is also holding two titles in AIW and is the All Star Wrestling Heavyweight Champion.
