21 Man Casino Battle Royale
The first five entrants in this match are Eddie Kingston, Darby Allin, Tony Nese, Daniel Garcia and Lance Archer representing the ‘clubs’. Right away, Kingston runs in and goes after Garcia. As Nese and Archer look to double team Allin, he goes under the ropes to the outside and grabs his skateboard only for Archer to chokeslam Nese. Allin comes in and attacks Archer with the skateboard to the outside and takes him out with a dive on the outside, both still in the match. Allin and Kingston end up going in the ring and squaring off next. Ricky Starks comes out next and brawls with Allin, followed by Jake Hager of the Jericho Appreciation Society who comes out and helps Garcia fight Kingston. Rey Fenix is out next, followed by Swerve Strickland and Keith Lee as these five represent the ‘diamonds’. Mark Sterling on the outside interferes by holding Swerve’s leg, but Keith Lee easily pushes Tony Nese off the apron, for the first elimination. Archer and Keith Lee go at it, with Lee dumping Archer out for the elimination. Next entrants are John Silver, Konosuke Takeshita, Max Caster, Austin Gunn and Colten Gunn to represent the ‘hearts’. Caster makes a Patrick Mahomes joke and says he will break Fenix’s arm just like he broke Punk’s foot. Anthony Bowens gets the crowd into an ‘Ass Boys’ chant as we go to picture-in-picture.
When we come back, the next batch of entrants are Powerhouse Hobbs, Kyle O’Reilly, Bobby Fish, Dante Martin and Wheeler Yuta, making his return, representing the ‘spades’. Rey Fenix kicks Max Caster out of the corner for the third elimination. Keith Lee eliminates Austin and Colten Gunn just for Swerve to eliminate Lee. The last entrant representing the ‘joker’ is Andrade El Idolo. Hobbs eliminates Silver, followed by Kingston eliminating Garcia, Kingston eliminating Hager, and Yuta tossing out Hager. Starks and Hobbs team up and eliminate Takeshita. Starks ducks and eliminates Martin. Fenix eliminates Starks with a kick off the apron. Darby and Swerve start teaming up in the match as reDRagon works together as well. Allin eliminates Bobby Fish, just for Swerve to eliminate Darby to a sea of boos as the second time he’s eliminated someone who helped him. Andrade goes and tosses out Swerve right after. It’s now down to Hobbs, Fenix, Andrade, Yuta, and O’Reilly. As Hobbs tries to eliminate Fenix, Yuta comes from behind and tosses out Hobbs to make it down to the final four. Andrade and O’Reilly form an alliance to fight Yuta and Fenix. Fenix and Andrade go back and forth until Andrade hits a low blow and tosses Fenix out. Yuta takes out Andrade as Yuta and O’Reilly start brawling on the apron until O’Reilly kicks off Yuta for the win.
Winner: Kyle O’Reilly at 24:58
Wednesday Night War
O’Reilly will go on to face Jon Moxley in the main event tonight for a spot at Forbidden Door for the Interim AEW World Championship. We cut to Moxley who says it’s been a weird year but tonight the ‘Wednesday Night Wars’ come to life but this opportunity belongs to him.
We get an update on CM Punk as commentators says he had successful surgery on his lower leg.
All-Atlantic
We get an announcement of a new AEW All-Atlantic Championship with the brackets being shown for the tournament to crown the first-ever champion;
- Buddy Matthews vs. PAC
- Ethan Page vs. Miro
- Penta Oscura vs. Malakai Black
- New Japan Pro Wrestling match
The winners of those four matches will go on to have a 4-way match at Forbidden Door on June 26th.
AEW All-Atlantic Championship Qualifying Match: Buddy Matthews vs. PAC
Both Matthews and PAC came out alone for this first-ever one-on-one match, as PAC was already out of WWE by the time Matthews came over to 205 Live. They start the match pretty quick with PAC running in and out of the ring to avoid Matthews until they both end up on the outside and we go to picture-in-picture.
When we come back, they are fighting on the apron and PAC hits a draping DDT off the ropes as they both are laid out. They go back and forth with PAC landing a big kick before running into a jumping knee from Matthews. PAC follows with a German Suplex and a lariat. Matthews comes back with a Tiger Driver for a two-count. PAC comes back with a wild Poison Rana and a pump kick, goes to the top rope, and hits the Black Arrow for the pin and the win.
Winner: PAC by pinfall at 10:46, to advance
Don’t Count Me Down
We go to Eddie Kingston backstage who is pissed off at Jake Hager for costing him a shot at the world title and calls out the rest of the Jericho Appreciation Society then gets upset at somebody on the side counting him down. Kingston challenges Hager for Rampage and doesn’t care if it’s after NHL or NBA and then tells the staff that he’s done.
United Empire in AEW
Trent Beretta is in the ring and is upset that his friends aren’t here for National Best Friend Day and thinks Roppongi Vice deserves another tag team title shot and calls out FTR. FTR comes out and says that Trent is right and they want to show everybody that they are the best tag team on this planet. Dax Harwood says Trent should be mad at ‘Will Ospreay’s bitch boys’ as we hear United Empire’s music and out comes Will Ospreay. As FTR and Trent are distracted by him, they get attacked from behind by Aaron Henare and Kyle Fletcher & Mark Davis of Aussie Open.
Regal & The Undisputed
Tony Schiavone is backstage with William Regal and The Undisputed Elite and Regal says it’s going to hurt him that he has to be on commentary tonight while Jon Moxley kicks Kyle O’Reilly’s ass. O’Reilly gets riled up and says this is his night before Adam Cole tells him he has to go do commentary for the next match but Kyle’s got this.
David Finlay vs. Adam Page
Adam Cole came out for commentary for this match. Page starts in control taking Finlay down, until Finlay hits a dropkick for a one-count. Page comes back with a pair of hard chops and sends Finlay to the outside, before knocking him back off the apron followed by a suicide dive with Finlay banging his head on the barricade. Page takes a beer from a fan and takes a sip. Finlay takes over as we go to picture-in-picture.
When we come back, Page is in control and hits a clothesline off the ropes knocking Finlay to the outside where he dives onto him. Inside, Page hits a sitout powerbomb for a two count as commentary mentions Page possibly having swelling on his knee therefore that’s why he lowered the pad. Finlay comes back with a backbreaker for a two-count. Page catches Finlay off a flying cross-body, but Finlay flips it into a pin count for a two. Page lands on his feet after a German Suplex attempt and hits a lariat followed by the Buckshot Lariat for the pin.
Winner: Adam Page by pinfall at 10:23
Forbidden Challenges
Adam Page gets on the mic after and says there’s a lot he wants to say about the AEW World Championship, but tonight isn’t the night. Tonight he wasn’t in the battle royal and it looks like he won’t be getting a title shot anytime soon. Since that’s the case, he remembers there’s not only one world championship in professional wrestling and challenges Kazuchika Okada for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at Forbidden Door. Adam Cole interrupts and says Okada might not even be champion, but it could be Jay White. Cole says he should get a shot at the championship and he suggests Page stays out of his way and that’s not cowboy shit, but a promise.
Something on Wardlow’s Mind
Tony Schiavone is in the ring and calls out Wardlow. Schiavone reiterates how Wardlow opted out of the battle royale tonight and how there’s something on his mind as he passes the mic to Wardlow. Wardlow says the reason why he didn’t want to be in it is because he wants to fight CM Punk, the true champion, and will be waiting for when Punk is back. Wardlow says he actually wants the TNT Championship, as people have diminished it lately and it’s time for a change around here. Scorpio Sky starts making his way out to the ring, but Ethan Page and Dan Lambert run out and stop him. Wardlow said he’ll wait for when Sky is healthy.
We cut to Mark Sterling backstage with security and said Wardlow can’t rip up documents like he did last week and because he’s a nice guy he’s going to give Wardlow two options, he can face him in the court of law or he could wrestle 20 of the security in an elimination match.
The Ladder Option
We go to the Young Bucks backstage who talk about how great last week was for them in California. They start talking about wanting the tag titles back before The Hardys enter the room. Matt Hardy mentions how they beat them at Double or Nothing, and they deserve a tag team title shot. Christian Cage and Jurassic Express walk in and say neither one of them deserve a title match and they have to earn it. Cage throws out a challenge to both the Young Bucks and The Hardys against Jurassic Express next week in a Ladder Match.
AEW World Women’s Championship: Thunder Rosa (c) vs. Marina Shafir
This match comes from earlier today when Rosa put out an open challenge for tonight and didn’t care if they were in the top 5 rankings or not, and Shafir walked in and accepted the challenge. They start the match locking up until Shafir drives Rosa into the turnbuckle. They go to a chop and kick exchange before Rosa takes down Shafir with a hard clothesline. Shafir comes back with a snap suplex as they go to picture-in-picture.
When we come back, Rosa is in control and hits Shafir in the ropes with drop kicks followed by a Northern Lights Suplex for a two. Rosa follows with a Death Valley Driver for a two count. They go back and forth until Rosa rolls up Shafir for the three count.
Winner: Thunder Rosa by pinfall at 8:25, to retain
Marina Shafir attacks Thunder Rosa after the match and puts her in the Greedy submission. Toni Storm runs out and saves Rosa, as Rosa gets up and hits the Thunder Rosa Driver on Shafir. Storm grabs the AEW World Women’s Championship and stares at it, before Rosa snatches it from her.
Tony Schiavone is backstage with Stokely Hathaway and the Baddies as they talk about a big match on Rampage, with Red Velvet going one on one with Kris Statlander and Stokely makes some Keith Sweat quotes.

Interim AEW World Championship Eliminator Match: Kyle O’Reilly vs. Jon Moxley
William Regal joins commentary for this match. They start the match trying to take each other down that transitions to them locking up. They go into a hard forearm exchange until Moxley gets knocked down with a dropkick. O’Reilly takes Moxley and dragon screws him in the ropes, followed by a flying knee drop off the top rope to Moxley who was still tied in the ropes as they go to picture-in-picture.
When we come back, they take each other down with double boots. Moxley blocks an armbreaker and puts on a chicken wing. O’Reilly grabs the rope with his teeth to break it and Moxley kicks it in his face followed by a hard lariat. That gave Regal the collywobbles, as Moxley transitions to knees before O’Reilly stops him with his own knee and kick. Moxley gets up and hits a cutter followed by a Gotch style piledriver attempt, which O’Reilly turns into a triangle sleeper and then into a modified leg lock and that Moxley punches his way out of. Moxley comes back and hits a piledriver for a two count. They go into a forearm and slap exchange until O’Reilly hits a Saito Suplex. Moxley gets right back up with a suplex himself as they clothesline each other and both fall down on the mat. Moxley traps O’Reilly in a sleeper and into the Bulldog Choke. Moxley hits a couple knees and the Regal Knee, followed by the Paradigm Shift for the pin.
Winner: Jon Moxley by pinfall at 14:14, to advance
