IMPACT Wrestling performer Gisele Shaw appeared on Toronto’s Breakfast Television on Friday to announce she is transgender.

Shaw spoke with hosts Dina Pugliese and Sid Seixeiro and shared the news for the first time:

The news is that today I’m fully living my life to the fullest, truly authentic, freely, and I am a transgender and I’m very proud.

You know, it’s super scary but I feel the more I speak about it and it gets normalized and I just feel more free and accepting my own self and loving my own self and I think that’s really important.

Shaw graduated from the Lance Storm’s Storm Wrestling Academy in 2015 and has wrestled for many international groups including RevPro, Progress Wrestling, and Pro Wrestling: EVE while holding championships with all three promotions.

After working several events for IMPACT Wrestling in the past, she made her official debut earlier this year after a series of vignettes that promoted her arrival as ‘The Quintessential Diva’.
