Sasha Banks to appear at C2E2 convention next month in Chicago

Sasha Banks is set to make her first public appearance since her removal from WWE programming in May.

Banks – real name Mercedes Varnado – will be appearing at the C2E2 Comic Expo on Saturday, August 6^th, and Sunday, August 7^th in Chicago.

Varnado will be available for photo and autograph opportunities over the two days she is appearing.

Varnado and Trinity Fatu a.k.a. Naomi were set to appear on the May 16^th edition of Raw but left the building prior to their match. On the broadcast, they promoted their involvement in a six-pack challenge in the main event but later, stated on air that the two left the arena. WWE posted a scathing statement noting the two were “suspended indefinitely”.

Since that date, neither performer has commented publicly on the circumstances behind their decision to leave the building or their status with WWE.
