AEW Rampage notes: Claudio Castagnoli to Challenge Jonathan Gresham for ROH World Championship

After the Kings of the Black Throne defeated Silver & Reynolds, Darby Allin attacked Brody King by jumping off one of the entrance tunnels onto Brody. Sting appeared and stared down Malakai Black.
A Miro promo package aired and he asked God whether he had sent The House of Black to destroy or recruit him.
Jonathan Gresham (with Tully Blanchard) defeated Lee Moriarty (with Matt Sydal), retaining his ROH World Championship. After the match, Claudio Castagnoli interrupted Gresham’s post-match promo with Tony Schiavone. Later in the show, it was announced that Castagnoli would face Gresham for the ROH World Championship at Death Before Dishonor on July 23rd.
Christopher Daniels made an appearance backstage insinuating that if Jay Lethal keeps running down his good friend Samoa Joe he may have to intervene.
After Statlander & Athena won their match one of The Baddies Leila Grey got on the apron and was dragged into the ring. Before Grey could be taken out, Kiera Hogan and Jade Cargill ran out and left Statlander & Athena lying.
Lee Moriarty was being interviewed backstage when he was approached by Stokely Hathaway proposing he leave Matt Sydal and align with him. Sydal backed Hathaway off and said that next week Moriarty will face Dante Martin.
Billy Gunn and The Gunn Club proposed one last scissoring to The Acclaimed before going their separate ways but instead, The Acclaimed attacked them. Gunn Club then denied them their match request for this week.
