AEW Dynamite topped the cable rankings on Wednesday night for the sixth time in the past seven weeks.

The August 3rd edition of the show from Columbus averaged 938,000 viewers and approximately 417,000 (0.32) in the 18-49 demographic, per Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.

After five weeks on top of the cable rankings on Wednesday nights, Dynamite slipped to second place last week due to a Major League Baseball game. This week, they reclaimed the top spot and beat out Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (0.30).

Compared with last week’s performance, overall viewership and the 18-49 demographic fell by four percent respectively. They experienced a 14 percent increase among adults 18-34 while adults 35-49 fell by 14.5 percent.

In the 12-34 demographic, males grew 40 percent this week while females were equal in that category with last week’s average.

In adults 50+, they fell by ten percent from 0.41 to 0.37.

Including this week’s numbers, Dynamite’s four-week average on TBS is 941,500 viewers and 0.32 in 18-49.

In Canada, the show finished third among sports programming for the night with 112,300 viewers and 63,100 in the 25-54 demographic on TSN 2, which represented increases of 20.5 and 25 percent respectively from last week. It was the most-watched edition of Dynamite in Canada since July 6th.

This week’s episode saw Chris Jericho defeat Wheeler Yuta in the main event to set up Jon Moxley’s challenger next week for the ‘Quake by the Lake’ episode. It also saw the return of The Undisputed Elite after Adam Cole and reDRagon had been off television over the past month.

Last year’s episode during the same week was a special ‘Homecoming’ edition of Dynamite from Daily’s Place that aired against the Summer Olympics and averaged 1,102,000 viewers and 0.46 in the 18-49 demographic featuring Cody Rhodes against Malakai Black and Chris Jericho facing Juventud Guerrera.
