Kris Statlander notes that she’ll bounce back from this injury.

At AEW Quake By The Lake, it was announced that Toni Storm is being moved up to the #1 ranking in the women’s division as a result of Kris Statlander going down with an injury.

Statlander commented on the injury via Twitter and said, “One knee fixed, one to go.”

Welp. One knee fixed, one to go. After the first knee injury I came back stronger and better than ever so it’s all over for you all when I come back from this one. I’m sorry to let you all done once again. I’ll be back bigger, more powerful, and more than a woman.

In early 2021, Statlander returned to AEW after undergoing ACL surgery in the summer of 2020. She had a change in her on-screen presentation this year and was involved in a program with The Baddies (Jade Cargill, Kiera Hogan & Red Velvet) and was paired with Athena throughout the program.

Statlander’s last sanctioned match took place on an episode of Dark this week.
