WWE Raw stays steady from previous week, #1 on cable for fourth consecutive week

WWE Raw remained steady as the top performing show on cable Monday night with similar viewership from the previous week.

The August 15th episode from Washington averaged 1,978,000 viewers and approximately 691,000 (0.53) in the 18-49 demographic, according to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.

It was the top performing show among cable originals and beat out the finale of Better Call Saul on AMC, which aired from 9-10:38 p.m. ET.

Raw saw minimal adjustments from the previous week in terms of overall viewership and the 18-49 audience, which averaged 1,956,000 and 700,000 respectively last week.

In the 18-49 demo, the female audience declined 14 percent this week while males were up by 4.5 percent. Adults 18-34 fell by 17 percent, which was their lowest 18-3r audience since July 4th and prior to the episode on the U.S. holiday, the lowest since June 13th.

Adults 35-49 grew by eight percent this week and adults 50+ were up by three percent.

The first hour of Raw averaged 1,968,000 viewers and 0.52 in the 18-49 demographic., The show peaked in the second hour with 2,086,000 viewers and 0.57 in the demo. The third hour fell to 1,879,000 and 0.50, which is back to the normal pattern after the third hour beat hour one last week in the demo.

There was a minimal decline throughout the program as viewership dropped 4.5 percent from the first to the third hour, the 18-49 audience fell four percent throughout the show, and despite 18-34 being down week-to-week – the audience grew 11 percent throughout the show.

In Canada, Raw averaged 217,900 viewers and 98,300 in the 25-54 demographic on Sportsnet 360 and aired against the Toronto Blue Jays and the World Junior Hockey Championships, and put Raw third among sports programming for the night. They averaged 226,700 viewers and 113,100 in the demo last week.
