Renee Paquette reunites with WWE for ‘Rivals’ taping at Performance Center

The broadcaster who spent eight years with WWE returns for A&E project.

Renee Paquette, who spent eight years with WWE before parting ways in 2020, has reunited with the company to film for an upcoming episode of ‘WWE Rivals’ to be broadcast on A&E.

Paquette, who worked for WWE as Renee Young in various roles, including commentary, has not signed a contract since her departure, preferring to stick to her own projects such as ‘The Sessions’ podcast.

The 36-year-old took to her Instagram account to post a photograph with Johnny Gargano, JBL, Freddie Prinze Jr, and Kevin Owens. The picture was accompanied by two more photos of Paquette together with Owens and JBL respectively.

In the caption, she simply noted, “Reunited with some pals today to talk WWE Rivals.”

Paquette announced on air that her appearance at SummerSlam 2020 would be her final one with WWE. She later added that FOX’s cancelation of Backstage left her feeling as if she had accomplished everything she could in the company.

Her 12-month non-compete clause came to an end around a year ago, but she has not signed with another company.
