Details concerning the altercation, per reports.

The newly crowned AEW World Champion CM Punk was the first name up to speak to the media at the post-All Out press conference. Punk publicly addressed Colt Cabana and shared details of their past legal history and he expressed how upset he was that he was being linked to Cabana’s absence from AEW.

Punk then brought up the company’s EVPs, referring to Kenny Omega, Matt & Nick Jackson, but did not mention them by name and stated that they could not “run a Target” and they spread lies to the media that he had something to do with Cabana’s absence. Following that, Punk mentioned Hangman Adam Page and stated that he went into business for himself on national television.

According to reports from both PWInsider and F4WOnline, there was a physical altercation that took place following Punk’s press conference. It was first reported by Fightful Select that there were some in the company who were not happy with what Punk said at the presser.

The situation involved Punk, producer Ace Steel and The Elite (Kenny Omega, Matt & Nick Jackson). The PWInsider write-up reads that Omega and The Young Bucks went to Punk’s locker room to confront him. That is when the physical altercation took place with Punk, Matt and Nick but there is no confirmation on their end regarding on who threw the first punch.

Ace Steel arrived on the scene and got involved, but it is noted that his wife was in the vicinity of the incident. Steel and Punk are close friends. A number of AEW personnel split the two sides apart as they continued to shout at each other.

In F4WOnline’s write-up, there is a note that Punk threw the first punches at Matt Jackson. Ace Steel threw a chair that hit Nick and then proceeded to lay hands on Omega and allegedly bit him.

AEW has yet to comment on the matter. Following Chris Jericho’s media scrum, he whispered to Tony Khan, “Some sh*t went down” as he exited the stage. Khan was present for the entire scrum and did not see the incident as it happened in real time.
