The live edition of AEW Rampage from Hoffman Estates saw an increase in the show’s key figures with their highest in three weeks.
The September 2nd edition of the show averaged 485,000 viewers and approximately 209,000 (0.16) in the 18-49 demographic, per Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.
Overall viewership grew by 12.5% and the 18-49 demo was up by 44% from the previous with both figures the highest Rampage has posted since August 12th.
There was a sizable growth among males 18-49 while adults 18-34 dropped by 9%.
In 12-34, males grew by 31% but females in that demo dropped by 32%.
Adults 35-49 experienced a gain of 76%, which is also its highest since August 12th.
Rampage ranked #11 among cable originals, which was led by ESPN’s coverage of the U.S. Open Tennis tournament that averaged 4,561,000 viewers and 0.92 in 18-49. Rampage also aired against a pair of college football games on ESPN and Fox Sports 1, which were among the top five cable programs for the night.
The live edition from the NOW Arena in Illinois was headlined by Ricky Starks defeating QT Marshall and opened with the semi-finals of the Trios Tournament as Hangman Page, John Silver & Alex Reynolds beat Orange Cassidy & Best Friends.
The Countdown to All Out special that aired immediately after Rampage averaged 229,000 viewers and 0.04 in the 18-49 demo and ranked #94 among cable originals. It was up slightly in overall viewers from the Countdown to Forbidden Door show in June averaging 212,000 viewers but was down from 0.05 in the demo.
