The main event of Dynamite featured the crowning of a new champion.
Buffalo, New York was the home to the September 9th episode of AEW Dynamite and in the main event, Buffalo’s own Daniel Garcia became ROH Pure Champion.
Garcia bested Wheeler Yuta in a Pure Rules match and celebrated in front of his hometown crowd and the confetti came raining in as Garcia held up the championship.
Post-match, Yuta’s fellow Blackpool Combat Club member Bryan Danielson came down to the ring and wrapped the title around Garcia’s waist. Garcia has been in the middle of Danielson and Chris Jericho’s on-screen issues with one another.
