New Japan Pro Wrestling has announced its plans to combine two tournaments for the final tour of the year.
The promotion has announced that both the World Tag League and Super Jr. Tag League will take place simultaneously over the course of the last tour for 2022.
The tour will commence on Monday, November 21st at Korakuen Hall and run until Wednesday, December 14th with a card in Sendai.
The World Tag League goes back to 1980 when it was billed as the MSG Tag League and later went under various names including the Super Grade Tag League, G1 Tag League, and changed to its current title in 2012.
Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI were the winners of last year’s World Tag League.
The Super Jr. Tag League began in 2010 as the Super Junior Tag Tournament and slightly modified its name in 2018.
Last year’s tournament was won by El Desperado & Yoshinobu Kanemaru.
