Scheduled for next week’s Raw in San Jose, California is Bobby Lashley defending the United States Championship against Seth Rollins.
To follow up on Dexter Lumis costing The Miz his United States Title match last week, there was a sit-down interview conducted in Miz’s home. He and Maryse were getting ready to leave and as The Miz was escorting the camera crew out, Dexter Lumis could be seen outside of the window. The camera crew then got a shot of Lumis in Miz’s home and he held up a drawing of Miz and Maryse with their children.

Johnny Gargano had his first match since December 2021. He got a win over Chad Gable in singles competition. Otis attempted to ambush Gargano and after Gargano gave Otis two superkicks, he evaded the former Raw Tag Team Champion. As Gargano was on his way up the stage entrance, Theory hit him with the Money in the Bank briefcase.
In the main event, Edge went one-on-one with Dominik Mysterio. Edge had Dominik tied up in the ropes and Rey got into the ring to prevent Edge from going through with his next move. Damian Priest then pulled Rey out of the ring, which led to Finn Balor getting involved and ambushing Edge. Dominik took a steel chair to Edge’s leg and that was followed up on by Balor hitting a Coup de Grâce onto Edge’s leg through a chair.

Earlier in the night, Balor and Damian Priest offered Matt Riddle a spot in The Judgment Day. Riddle opted to fight the two off and then competed against Balor one-on-one. Seth Rollins cost Riddle the match.
Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair issued an open challenge and it was Sonya Deville answering the call. Deville was defeated by Belair and post-match, Bianca was confronted by Bayley and new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions IYO SKY and Dakota Kai. They had the numbers advantage on Belair until Alexa Bliss and Asuka made the save.
Set for the 9/19 episode of Raw is Kevin Owens versus Austin Theory.
There was a Handicap match on tonight’s program and Omos bested independent talents Invictus Khash and Jordan Oasis.
‘Villain’ by Bella Poarch is the official theme song for WWE Extreme Rules on October 8th. As of this writing, the only match official for that show is Liv Morgan defending the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Ronda Rousey.
