According to AEW president Tony Khan, the gate for this year’s Grand Slam event at Arthur Ashe Stadium has surpassed the gate from last year.
Khan noted in a tweet that the company is nearing its first $1 million gate for a non-pay-per-view while surpassing the total from the 2021 event at Arthur Ashe Stadium. In 2022, the company has achieved $1 million gates for Double or Nothing, Forbidden Door, and All Out.

AEW’s first event at the stadium in September 2021 drew a reported 21,277 with 18,300 paying just over $960,000, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that week.
This year’s show has sold fewer tickets than in 2021 but the ticket prices are higher this year.
The latest reported figures for this Wednesday’s show come courtesy of WrestleTix, who reported that tickets distributed are just over 11,400, as of one week ago.
