Nick Gage’s career will continue and is the new GCW champion.
In the main event of Saturday’s Fight Club card in Atlantic City, Gage pinned Jon Moxley to end his one-year reign as champion and save his career, which was put on the line.
The match included run-ins by W. Morrissey and Stokely Hathaway from The Firm, attacking Moxley, who survived being put through a barbed-wire glass window pane. Gage won the matches after hitting a choke breaker and addressing the crowd afterward.
The news comes one day after the announcement that Moxley has signed a new five-year contract with AEW and will be taking on additional roles with the company.
Moxley won the title on September 4, 2021, from Matt Cardona.
