AEW Dynamite saw a dip in viewership for Wednesday’s program while managing to rank third among all cable programming behind the NBA.

The November 2nd edition of the show from Baltimore averaged 911,000 viewers and approximately 377,000 (0.29) in the 18-49 demographic. The decreases were 9% and 10% respectively from last week’s episode. (Data courtesy of Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily).

It was the lowest viewership average for Dynamite since July 20th and the lowest 18-49 audience since June 15th (excluding the episode that aired on Tuesday night two weeks ago).

The show was promoted around four championship matches and a title eliminator between Jon Moxley and Lee Moriarty. The episode was built around several surprises including Jeff Jarrett, Colt Cabana, and Katsuyori Shibata making unadvertised appearances throughout the program.

Dynamite finished third among cable originals behind both NBA games on ESPN. AEW aired against the Boston Celtics vs. Cleveland Cavaliers, which was #1 on cable with 1.37 million viewers and 0.49 in the demo. Dynamite also ran against Game 4 of the World Series that averaged 11.8 million viewers on Fox and 2.78 in 18-49 to dominate television for the night.

In the key demo, Dynamite was down 11% among males and 8% among females.

Adults 18-34 dropped 10%, although that drop was entirely due to males in the demo decreasing while women were up by a slight number from last week.

Other declines included adults 35-49 down by 10% and adults 50+ fell by 9%.

In Canada, Dynamite averaged approximately 93,700 viewers and 46,500 in the 25-54 demographic on TSN 2. The show was down from last week’s 106,000 viewers but was up from last week’s demo of 41,000. This week, Dynamite ranked ninth among sports programs in Canada on a night that include the Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Philadelphia Flyers, the World Series, and the Toronto Raptors vs. San Antonio Spurs among the top ten.

This is the last week AEW will contend with the MLB playoffs with the series set to wrap up this weekend.
