Chris Jericho & Sammy Guevara vs. Claudio Castagnoli & Bryan Danielson

Ian Riccaboni joined commentary for this match as Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara came out without any other Jericho Appreciation Society members. All four men start brawling as the bell rings, with Claudio Castagnoli taking Jericho to the outside as Bryan Danielson starts kicking and chopping Guevara in the corner. Jericho whips Claudio into a barricade before heading back inside, but Danielson catches Jericho with elbows as Claudio does the same to Guevara. It ends up being Claudio and Guevara, as Claudio hits a stalled vertical suplex followed by a suplex to Jericho before hitting a splash. Danielson stays in control of Guevara hitting him with the dropkicks in the corner before Guevara stops him with a drop toe hold as Jericho hits Danielson with his bat as they go into picture-in-picture.

When we come back, Danielson is able to escape and hits a hot tag to Claudio who goes after both Guevara and Jericho, tossing Guevara into Jericho before hitting Jericho with uppercuts for a two-count. Jericho goes for the Walls of Jericho, but Claudio reverses and goes for the giant swing that Guevara breaks up. Jericho is able to lock on the Walls of Jericho, as Guevara dives onto Danielson on the outside. Claudio tries to crawl over to the ropes, but Guevara pulls the ropes away from him. Danielson takes out Guevara, heads to the top, and takes out Jericho with a shotgun dropkick, knocking him to the outside. Danielson and Guevara both tag in, as Danielson, reverses the GTH and puts on the LeBell Lock, but Guevara is able to scoot over and put his foot on the bottom rope. They head to the top rope, as Guevara hits a cutter off the ropes, and tags in Jericho, who hits the Lionsault but Claudio breaks it up. Claudio hits a big pop-up uppercut to Guevara, but then gets knocked to the outside. Danielson and Jericho run the ropes, but bump heads. Claudio tags in as Danielson takes out Guevara on the outside. Jericho grabs the bat, but Claudio stops him and hits the giant swing (while Jericho is holding the bat). Claudio then puts on the Scorpion Deathlock while holding the bat as Jericho taps out.

Winners: Claudio Castagnoli & Bryan Danielson by submission at 17:57

Showtime, Last Time

We see a black and white video where Sting is driving around with a bodybag in his car that Darby Allin comes out of as Sting says at Full Gear, it’s showtime.

We then cut to Jeff Jarrett, Sonjay Dutt, Jay Lethal, and Satnam Singh as Jeff Jarrett says it won’t be showtime, but Sting’s last time.

Captain Insano is All Elite

As The Acclaimed comes out, Max Caster’s freestyle talks about his music video, Jay Leno getting burned and Swerve being on his cycle. They then cut to the new Acclaimed music video that has a cameo from Paul Wight as Captain Insano. They show two people who are supposed to be Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland who ‘call in’ to Insano and Acclaimed and ask for the probability of them winning their match which they say is zero. The video includes the fake Lee and Swerve ‘training’. This song wasn’t too good, compared to Caster’s past work.

Anthony Bowens (w/ Max Caster & Billy Gunn) vs. Swerve Strickland

As Swerve Strickland is making his way to the ring, Billy Gunn attacks him as officials come out and eject Gunn and Caster to the back. Tony Schiavone on commentary says that Jay Leno is his friend and they give their best wishes to him. They start the match trading offense before Swerve counters a right hand from Anthony Bowens to hit a dropkick to the face, knocking him to the outside where he takes him out with a Fosbury Flop and a punt kick. They fight on the outside, where Swerve back body drops Bowens on the barricade, as Bowens spills into the audience and they go picture-in-picture.

When we come back, Bowens is in control hitting blows to the back of Swerve’s head before hitting running elbow strikes to Swerve in the corner followed by an Olympic Slam. Swerve comes back with a brain buster and a sidekick to the head for a two-count. Swerve follows with a standing double stomp and starts working on Swerve’s hand. He hits the Swerve Stomp but only gets a two-count. Bowens is able to dodge Swerve, but Swerve catches Bowen’s hand and hits the JML Driver for the pin and the win.

Winner: Swerve Strickland by pinfall at 9:35

The Most Dangerous Man in the Room

Tony Schiavone is in the ring and introduces the ROH Television Champion Samoa Joe. Schiavone asks why Joe turned on Wardlow last week as Joe says Schiavone reminds him of his old friend ‘Paul’. Joe asks what is shocking about taking action and how Wardlow week after week ran his mouth and failed to recognize the most dangerous man in the room and for that mistake he paid the ultimate price. He refuses to be a victim like most of the people in this building who sit around and wait for the storm to hit and for someone to save them. He saves himself and if Tony or anybody else has a problem with it, they can take it up with him. Powerhouse Hobbs comes out and congratulates Joe but says he’s late to the party as he’s been the one kicking Wardlow’s ass for the past several weeks and he’ll come down to the ring and kick his ass. Before they can interact, Wardlow’s music hits, but he comes from the crowd and takes out Joe with a spear. All three men start brawling but members of the AEW locker room come out to separate all three of them. Wardlow starts taking out the security, as Dark Order gets out of his way and lets him do his thing. Wardlow goes and dives onto Joe, Hobbs, and the rest of the security on the outside.

Three Years

We go backstage to Dr. Britt Baker DMD who said Saraya said four times that doesn’t deserve to be a star and said in the three years she’s been wrestling she became a leader and learned to be a leader is to take the blame while everybody else gets the credit. In three years she became her own role model and she took the opportunity and ran with it until every fan said the DMD line with her. She didn’t wrestle in Madison Square Garden, but she wrestled in Daily’s Place for over a year and kept professional wrestling going in an era that Saraya would never know. She respects Saraya for what she did, but this business owes her nothing and it has moved on. She ends by saying this is her house and Saraya can get the hell out.

AEW World Trios Championship: Death Triangle (PAC, Penta El Zero Miedo & Rey Fenix) (c) vs. Top Flight (Dante Martin & Darius Martin) & AR Fox

Rey Fenix and Darius Martin start the match in Darius’ first match since April. AR Fox tags in and goes after PAC and gets a good reaction from the crowd hitting a cutter as PAC retreats to the outside. Top Flight sends PAC into another cutter from Fox. All six men go at it as Death Triangle all trade kicks and dropkicks to Fox before knocking Top Flight to the outside followed by triple splashes to Fox for a two count as they go to picture-in-picture.

When we come back, Darius hits PAC with a brainbuster for a two. Top Flight follows this with dives to the outside on Death Triangle, followed by one from Fox. Fenix kicks Fox, but Fox comes back with a Spanish Fly followed by a 450 Splash that gets broken up. Penta goes after Fox as he and Fenix hit the Fear Factor. Fenix topes to the outside, as PAC hits the Black Arrow on Fox for the pin and the win.

Winners: Death Triangle (PAC, Penta El Zero Miedo & Rey Fenix) by pinfall at 11:33, to retain

The Elite Will Return At…

PAC gets on the mic and asks the crowd if they think the Death Triangle are stupid and if they aren’t aware of what’s going on. They have seen the videos, heard the rumors, and if there are certain individuals in this company who think they can make their triumphant return this Saturday at Full Gear and best the Death Triangle, that’s ridiculous. They challenge them to bring it as we cut to a graphic for the World Trios Match this Saturday as The Elite’s faces appear next to Death Triangle making the match official. PAC says you think they are coming for them, but they’ve been waiting for them.

We go to Ricky Starks backstage who says this Friday on Rampage, he will face Lance Archer. No word on when the winner’s semi-final match against Brian Cage will be.

AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament Semi-Final Match: Ethan Page (w/ Stokely Hathaway) vs. Bandido

They start running the ropes, as Bandido takes Ethan Page into the corner with head scissors followed by a suplex attempt, which Page tries to reverse. Bandido eventually hits the suplex himself. Bandido runs the ropes, but Stokely holds his foot as Page jumps on Bandido and we go to picture-in-picture.

When we come back, Bandido is on the top rope and hits a moonsault to Page to the outside. Back inside, Bandido hits a tornado for a two-count. Page blocks the 21 Plex by holding on to the ropes and hits a cutter for a two-count. Page takes Bandido to the top rope and tries the avalanche Ego’s Edge, but Bandido counters with a hurricanrana, followed by a one-handed press slam, goes to the top rope, and hits the frog splash for a two count. Bandido goes to the top, but Page knocks him off, and heads to the top himself, but Bandido joins him. Page body slams Bandido off the top rope, hits a shoulder block, and the Ego’s Edge for the pin and the win.

Winner: Ethan Page by pinfall at 9:09, to advance

Back & Forth

Renee Paquette is backstage with Saraya and says we are days away from her first in five years and asks how she feels. Saraya says she feels fantastic and very lucky and was told this would never happen again. She’s sick of this back and forth with Britt Baker and she chose to be here and she wants to be the best, and the best is Baker. She doesn’t want to talk about this anymore and she’ll see her at Full Gear

No Disrespect

We see a promo from Eddie Kingston & Ortiz vs. Jun Akiyama & Konosuke Takeshita ahead of their Rampage match where Kingston (while wearing a sick ODB shirt) said he’s been waiting all his life for this moment but no disrespect, will take out Akiyama.

AEW Interim Women’s World Championship Eliminator Match: Toni Storm (c) vs. Anna Jay AS

Toni Storm starts in control until Anna Jay AS traps Storm in the corner hitting her with a rolling kick as they go to picture-in-picture.

When we come back, Storm is in control and starts clubbing Jay followed by a lariat and a Fisherman Suplex for a two count. Jay escapes out of a Texas Cloverleaf attempt by going to the ropes, but Storm takes her out with a hip attack that Schiavone calls ‘Sweet Cheeks Music’. They brawl on the outside for a bit, before Jay takes her inside and tries the Queen Slayer. Storm easily gets out and hits another hip attack in the corner, followed by the Texas Cloverleaf that Jay taps out on.

Winner: Toni Storm by submission at 7:12

Jamie Hayter heads down to the ring and gets in Storm’s face. Storm raises the title, as Hayter leaves.

Jon Moxley and William Regal make their way to the ring as Moxley gets a bit of a mixed reaction.

Is The Show on Saturday or Sunday?

Jon Moxley and William Regal make their way to the ring as Moxley gets a bit of a mixed reaction. Moxley says the man makes the championship and asks who exactly is Jon Moxley and he says he’s the best professional wrestler on planet Earth, he talks shit and he backs it up. He’s traveled the world seeking the toughest challenges and has defined the AEW World Championship. They say that he loves to fight like it’s something to be admired, but it’s not as he’s sick in the head. He says you can’t hurt him because he literally doesn’t care and that’s exactly who he is. Last week he asked a question saying ‘Who is MJF?’ and he did a little research to find out. He found out that MJF is actually a really good singer, he has one win in this ring in the last six months beating his ‘young boy’, he took a summer vacation after some Brian Pillman Jr. stuff, came back in a Halloween mask in the worst ending to a Ladder Match he’s ever seen and now he here for a title shot. Moxley sees a man in fear that he won’t live up to the hype but you’re going to see something special at Full Gear and tells MJF to show him something special. Stokely along with the rest of The Firm come out and attack Moxley and Regal as MJF’s music hits. MJF starts taking out members of The Firm including a low blow to W. Morrissey and an eye poke to Ethan Page. MJF tells The Firm to get out of Connecticut before he ‘firmly’ takes his boot and puts it up their ass. MJF tells Moxley to get up as he doesn’t want to hear any excuses and tells Regal no Diamond Dynamite Ring is needed. He tells Moxley he’s not the same kid he faced before and he can make him bleed buckets as he won’t stop because he needs that belt more than he needs water, food, and oxygen. When you’re the man that holds the title it makes you the best wrestler on this Earth and it’s his time. He says at Full Gear we will find out that he is the Devil himself, but before he can finish his catchphrase Moxley takes the mic from his hand and says he doesn’t know what the big deal is with MJF but at Full Gear we will find out and he will reach in and pull it out of MJF, asks if the show is on Saturday or Sunday and says the training wheels come off.
