Friday Night SmackDown was the top program on television that night with a show promoted around the reveal of Kevin Owens as the final WarGames participant.
The November 18th edition from Hartford averaged 2,232,000 viewers and approximately 726,000 (0.56) in the 18-49 demographic, per Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.
Those numbers represented a minor 1% decrease in viewership and a 4% decline in the key demo from the past week while topping all other programs that night.
In the 18-49 demo, it was female viewership increased by 10% while males dropped by 13%. It was the largest female audience in the key demo since July 22nd, which was the day of Vince McMahon’s resignation announcement.
In the 18-34 demo, SmackDown ranked second among network programs at 0.32. In this demo, males dropped 22% from last week while females were unchanged.
There was also a 16% increase with females in the 35-49 demo (highest since October 21st) with men down by 8% in that category.
In Canada, SmackDown averaged 160,500 viewers and 45,200 in the 25-54 demographic on Sportsnet 360, which was second among sports programs that night behind the L.A. Kings vs. Vancouver Canucks game. Last week’s episode on Sportsnet 360 averaged 146,700 viewers and 69,900 in the demo.
Friday’s show included the World Cup tournament matches between Ricochet and Mustafa Ali, and Butch against Sami Zayn with the show built towards the reveal of Kevin Owens as the final member of the WarGames team opposing the Bloodline.
Young Rock averaged 1.36 million viewers and 0.28 in the 18-49 demo, which was last among the big four networks. While it was the lowest viewership this season, the demo rating was up by 22% from last week and the 18-34 rating increased from 0.10 to 0.14.
