Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge Match: Roxanne Perez vs. Zoey Stark vs. Cora Jade vs. Indi Hartwell vs. Kiana James

Roxanne Perez and Zoey Stark were the first two to start the match and right away go for pin falls. Perez holds Stark down with an arm bar as we reach the 5 minute mark. Kiana James comes out as the third entrant. James and Perez go at it, but as James has Perez up on her shoulders, Stark kicks her off and hits James with a superkick. Perez and Stark fight on the apron, as Stark kicks her off. James whips Stark into a baseball slide that takes out Perez on the outside. They start trading superkicks until Stark hits a GTS on Perez to get the first fall, as Perez must now enter the penalty box for 90 seconds. Cora Jade comes out as entrant number four, but not before teasing Perez who’s in the penalty box. As soon as Perez gets out of the box, she goes after Jade. Jade is able to roll up James for her first fall. Jade and Stark both put submissions on Perez, but she is able to escape and puts on headscissors on Stark as James comes out of the box. Indi Hartwell comes out as the final entrant as we have ten minutes left for the match. Right away, Hartwell gets her first fall on Perez. On the outside, James hits a moonsault off the barricade to Stark, as Perez comes out of the box and chases James, sending her into the steel steps. Perez looks at the scorecard, realizing she doesn’t have any falls and goes after Jade. Stark and Perez go at it, with Perez getting her first fall on Stark. They all start going for roll-ups as Stark runs back in going after everyone as we have five minutes left with James being the only one without a fall. As Jade takes out everyone else on the outside, Stark springboards from inside to everybody. They all take it back inside as Perez hits Pop Rocks on Jade for her second fall with two minutes left. Perez stops Hartwell from getting her second pin, as Jade is screaming in the penalty box. Perez and Hartwell spill to the outside, as Stark heads to the top but gets stopped by James as James hits a Spanish Fly, but Jade runs out to break up the pin attempt. Perez stops Jade from getting her second pin as the clock ends.

Winner: Roxanne Perez (2) wins at 25:00 to become #1 contender – (Zoey Stark (1), Cora Jade (1), Indi Hartwell (1), Kiana James (0))

See You Soon

McKenzie Mitchell is backstage with Ivy Nile and Tatum Paxley who say that tonight’s match with Indus Sher and the Creed Brothers has been canceled due to Julius Creed not being cleared. Katana Chance and Kayden Carter step in and say they don’t run from any team and they will see them soon.

Isla Dawn vs. Alba Fyre

Right away they go at it, and spill to the outside where Alba Fyre stomps away at Isla Dawn. Back inside, Fyre hits a flatliner for a two count into a choke hold, but Dawn is able to back up for a two count. Dawn takes control, but misses a running kick and runs into an elbow before kicking Fyre into the corner and choking her out on the top rope. Dawn heads to the top and hits a flying knee drop, but as Dawn heads to the outside, Fyre springboards off the top rope for a senton onto her. They slowly get up and make it back inside at the nine-count. Fyre takes Dawn out with a face plant and starts kicking away, until Dawn rolls out of the way. Fyre comes back and hits a tornado DDT for a two-count. Dawn hits a sidekick and a back suplex for a two-count. Dawn heads to the top rope, but Fyre kicks her off as Dawn spills to the outside and gets a suicide dive from Fyre. Fyre hits Dawn with a Gory Bomb before throwing her back inside for a two-count. Fyre knocks Dawn down, heads to the top rope, and hits a Swanton Bomb but as she goes for the pin, the referee starts spitting out black goo from his mouth (they must have just listened to Rewind-A-Wai #121). Another referee comes out, as Dawn tosses Fyre into the exposed turnbuckle followed by the Final Cut for the pin and the win.

Winner: Isla Dawn by pinfall at 9:52

NXT Tag Team Championship: Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson) (c) vs. The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods)

Pretty Deadly has some sweet Christmas-inspired gear as The New Day has Avatar gear, as Booker T continues his hatred for The New Day being in NXT including ‘not giving a shout out to Big E’ when Vic Joseph did. Xavier Woods and Kit Wilson start the match, but it quickly turns into a twerk-off between Kofi Kingston and Elton Prince. Woods tags back in as the New Day double team on Prince, and Woods gets a two-count. Wilson comes in and jumps off the top rope, but Woods stops him with a dropkick. Kingston sends Wilson to the outside and goes to dive onto him, but Prince gets in the way. Kingston knocks Prince off the apron and dives onto Pretty Deadly as the crowd gets into this. Pretty Deadly sends Kingston into the ring post, before Prince starts choking out Kingston in their corner. Kingston tries to fight off Pretty Deadly to make the tag and ends up hitting a DDT on Wilson. Woods comes in on the hot tag and goes after Prince, before fighting off Wilson knocking him to the outside with a drop kick. Prince and Woods go at it, with Prince hitting a clothesline for a two. All four then do an amazing spot, where they hot potato the titles and all do the Eddie Guerrero deal before pointing to the referee and who did it. Pretty Deadly goes for Spilt Milk, but Kingston pulls Wilson to the outside as Prince gets a two count on Woods. New Day follows with Kingston hitting the top rope stomp as Woods holds Prince, before Woods gets the pin for the win.

Winners: The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) by pinfall at 14:06, to become NEW NXT Tag Team Champions

Countdown to New Year

We see a commercial that we will get a Countdown to New Year special on NXT on January 10th, with someone being teased in the background that looks a bit like Tiffany Stratton

Katana Chance and Kayden Carter run into Odyssey Jones, Edris Enofe and Malik Blade and ask if they are coming out with them tonight but they said they have to get ready for Tuesday. Gigi Dolan and Jacy Jayne interrupt and are upset they gave the title shot to Ivy Nile and Tatum Paxley, and says they only challenge teams that they can beat which prompts Nile and Paxley to attack them from behind.

Men’s Iron Survival Challenge Match: JD McDonagh vs. Axiom vs. Carmelo Hayes vs. Joe Gacy vs. Grayson Waller

JD McDonagh attacked Axiom while he was making his entrance, therefore we were still in ‘Axiom mode’ and it looked trippy. Right away they take it outside, where Axiom dives onto McDonaugh and starts tossing him into the penalty box before they head back inside. Axiom stays in control and kicks McDonagh and hits a forearm to the back of his head for a two count. McDonagh comes back with a sitout powerbomb for a two count as Carmelo Hayes comes out as the third entrant and right away hits a springboard cover on McDonagh that Axiom breaks up. Axiom takes them both to the outside with headscissors before trying to dive onto them, just for McDonagh to push him off the top rope. Hayes tries to springboard off the ropes, but gets hit with a double super kick. Hayes comes back and gets the first pin on Axiom. As soon as Axiom comes out of the penalty box he hits a double flying crossbody. All three go out and get laid out with headbutts as Grayson Waller runs out as the fourth entrant and takes McDonagh and Axiom out with a double running cutter and gets back to back pins on them. As Axiom tries to leave the penalty box, McDonagh pulls him back in as they start fighting inside the penalty box, with Axiom slamming the door on McDonagh before Waller stops them. They start fighting in and out of the ring, with Waller dropping Hayes on top of the announce table before saying to Booker T “Who’s in your top 5 now, bitch”. Axiom comes back with back to back pins on Waller and McDonagh, hitting the Golden Ratio. Joe Gacy comes out as the final entrant. Gacy puts a stretch on Axiom, as he taps out giving Gacy his first fall. As Waller comes out the penalty box, he goes after Axiom and feeds him to McDonagh who sends him back into the penalty box to fight as Waller locks Axiom in there. Back inside, Gacy gets his second fall on Hayes. McDonagh tries to keep Axiom inside the penalty box, but he escapes from the top and hits a moonsault. Hayes and Waller go at it as Hayes makes Waller tap out. All five men scramble to get pin falls as everybody but McDonagh is tied at 2 while McDonagh has zero. Gacy tries to stretch Axiom with 90 seconds left, but Hayes and McDonagh break it up with super kicks. Axiom hits McDonagh with a DDT, but Hayes hits a top rope leg drop that Waller breaks up the count for. Waller runs in and pins Axiom for his third fall. Hayes starts chasing Waller around, as the time runs out.

Winner: Grayson Waller (3) wins at 25:00 to become #1 contender – (Axiom (2), Carmelo Hayes (2), Joe Gacy (2), JD McDonagh (0))

McKenzie Mitchell is backstage with Drew Gulak and asks why he has appeared here. Gulak says he hasn’t been able to reach his full potential but he came here to grind in the ring and if he sees someone with potential who he can help and that can help him then that’s better. Damon Kemp comes in as Gulak calls him a great potential and a more notorious attitude. Kemp tells him to watch his match on Tuesday against Duke Hudson and Gulak said he’ll check it out.

This Tuesday

  • Toxic Attraction (Gigi Dolan & Jacy Jayne) vs. Ivy Nile & Tatum Paxley
  • Von Wagner vs. Odyssey Jones
  • Lyra Valkyria debuts
  • Damon Kemp vs. Duke Hudson

NXT Championship: Bron Breakker (c) vs. Apollo Crews

Big fight feel here with the big introductions and Bron Breakker ‘breaking’ through the image of Apollo Crews as he comes out. They start with a test of strength and take it to the mat with side headlocks and headscissors. Crews follows with a standing moonsault for a two count, as Breakker heads to the outside where Crews hits him with another moonsault. Breakker comes back and hits a suplex and standing moonsault of his own for a two. As Crews is on the outside, Breakker meets him with a beautiful-looking dive. Back inside, Breakker heads to the second rope but Crews stops him with a knee as he dove down. We get a close-up of Crews face as it looks like he snapped into a different mode and he goes right after Breakker hitting three back-to-back German suplexes for a two-count. Crews then hits three back to back power bombs, but Breakker still kicks out. Crews heads to the top and hits a frog splash, but Breakker kicks out again at two. Breakker is able to stop this uncontrollable Crews run by moving out of the way in the corner, as Crews goes crashing and is hit with a spinebuster by Breakker. Breakker heads to the top rope and hits a flying bulldog for a two count. Breakker tries to press slam Crews, but he stops him with a DDT for a 2 count. Crews hits the press slam into a power slam for a two-count. The crowd chants ‘this is awesome’ as they both get into each other’s face claiming ‘this is mine’ before going at it with punches. They go back and forth, until Breakker is able to hit the spear for the pin and the win.

Winner: Bron Breakker by pinfall at 14:34, to retain

As Bron Breakker is celebrating, Grayson Waller runs in and takes him out with his rolling cutter before holding the belt up high and posing with it telling Breakker that this is his house as the show comes to an end.
