Kurt Angle does not recall the infamous Claire Lynch storyline in TNA with any fondness.

He spoke about the 2012 plot on the latest episode of The Kurt Angle Show, which was released on Sunday.

Angle played only a peripheral part in the saga, which involved accusations of an affair between AJ Styles and Dixie Carter, a faked pregnancy, and wrestling matches with DNA paternity test stipulations. He said:

I don’t know, it just was a little weird having this girl as part of the storyline. I guess she was an addict and Dixie was trying to help her and AJ was trying to help her, but then it got like so out of control that Dixie and AJ were accused of having an affair. There was just some crazy shit going on.

I didn’t like the storyline at all. I don’t think it did any good for AJ. I don’t think it did any good for Dixie. It just wasn’t a good storyline; it was one of the worst ones.

Elsewhere on the podcast, Angle spoke about having been presented with a photograph by Jason Jordan for his birthday on the December 9th episode of SmackDown:

Jason Jordan, my son on TV, gave me a photo of him when he was 7 years old wrestling. It was on TV — he gave it to me. I wanted to keep it and I actually forgot it at the arena, so my wife was going crazy, like, ‘You gotta get this thing’. I’m like, ‘Don’t worry about it, it’s just a photo of Jason’. She’s like, ‘We have to track this down’. She calls WWE and tells them that they need to track it down and go back to the arena. So, some producer from WWE actually did it, and they found the photo and they sent it to us — they overnighted it to us.
