Closing out the 12/28 AEW Dynamite was Samoa Joe successfully defending the TNT Championship against Wardlow by beating him via submission.
Post-match, Darby Allin ambushed Joe from behind as Joe was attacking Wardlow. It has since been made official that on the first Dynamite of 2023 in Darby’s hometown of Seattle, Washington, he’ll take on Joe for the TNT Title.
