Saraya feels she and Moné have a built-in storyline.

Dating back to late 2022, it was advertised that Saraya and a mystery partner would be teaming up on the 1/11 Dynamite in Inglewood, California to face Britt Baker and AEW Women’s World Champion Jamie Hayter.

It was decided that Toni Storm would be Saraya’s partner in the match. Saraya guest appeared on DJ Whoo Kid’s WHOO’S House Podcast and it was mentioned that the rumor is that Mercedes Moné f.k.a. Sasha Banks could be debuting for AEW on Wednesday.

Saraya stated that she does not know anything and has asked AEW President Tony Khan about it. She does feel that she and Mercedes have a built-in storyline.

I don’t know (if Mercedes Moné is showing up to the 1/11 AEW Dynamite). Even Meech, my manager, is constantly asking me and I’m just like, ‘I have no idea’ and I asked Tony Khan, I’m like, ‘What’s the deal?’

I would love to do it (story with Mercedes) in AEW because I’m there. Tony has a great relationship with New Japan and he loves New Japan. But, Sasha, I texted her the other day just to be like, ‘Congratulations’ and she said that she’s happy… I’m not starting any rumors with her (Saraya laughed)… We have a built-in storyline because, you know, unfortunately, it was me and her in the ring when my career was ended so when I got cleared, she was one of the first people I texted to be like, ‘Guess what? You don’t have to feel bad anymore.’

Mercedes’ first match post-WWE is scheduled for February 18th. She’ll be challenging KAIRI for the IWGP Women’s Championship at NJPW Battle in the Valley. Tickets for the show have sold out
