Rhodes stated that life is too short to be fighting hard and still feeling unfulfilled.

Nearly a full year ago, Cody and Brandi Rhodes announced that they would be departing All Elite Wrestling. Several months later, Cody returned to the WWE at WrestleMania 38

Brandi was AEW’s Chief Brand Officer and while she was being profiled by BARE Magazine, she was asked about her decision to take a step back from pro wrestling.

It is a decision that Brandi looks back on as a good one. She stated that life is too short to be fighting hard and still feeling unfulfilled.

It has been about a year. I feel very good about the decision. There was a lot about my position in the industry that took a lot of the joy out of it for me. Life is too short to be fighting so hard and still left feeling unfulfilled. Especially with everything that I have to offer still mentally and physically. I’d like to experience joy in my contributions at this point.

Brandi’s husband, Cody Rhodes made his in-ring return at the 2023 Royal Rumble and secured his shot at the Undisputed WWE Universal Title at WrestleMania 39. Brandi is excited for him, believes he’s at the top of his game and thinks fans will see that.

I’m very excited for my husband. He has put in so much work in his recovery and has been diligent in returning in his best form. I believe he is at the top of his game and fans will see and appreciate that.

She talked about some of her non-wrestling ventures such as the ‘Shot of Brandi’ show. She is working on finding a home for it outside of YouTube but teased that there could be a single episode popping up.

Shot of Brandi is the OG! I started it in my kitchen filming myself and man did it grow and grow! It’s currently on hiatus as we are working on it finding a home outside of YouTube. BUT, there might be a single episode popping up soon. Stay tuned!

Brandi last wrestled in January of 2022. Over the summer, it was reported by PWInsider that Rhodes partook in a in-house event at the WWE Performance Center.
