Mercedes Moné & Kazuchika Okada close NJPW Battle in the Valley

The IWGP Women's Champion and IWGP World Heavyweight Champion send the fans in attendance home as they closed the show

The champions close the show out.

It was a double main event at NJPW Battle in the Valley. First up saw the crowning of Mercedes Moné as IWGP Women’s Champion and Kazuchika Okada retaining the IWGP World Heavyweight Title.

After Okada’s match, he spoke to the crowd in attendance and before wrapping up, he praised his opponent, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and suggested the idea of reforming their team and going after the IWGP Tag Titles.

Okada was then joined in the ring by Mercedes and she hinted at the idea of them teaming up with the NJPW and STARDOM connection at play.

Back in November, STARDOM and New Japan held their Historic X-Over joint-show.
