Heath states that he’s having fun right now with what he’s doing.
For the past several years of his career, Heath has been working with IMPACT Wrestling. He started this run with the company after his time in WWE came to an end after 14 years.
In the early portion of the COVID-19 pandemic, Heath wrestled for WWE on an episode of Raw which came after his release. As he was doing a virtual signing for K & S WrestleFest, Heath was asked if he’d return to the company if they called for him to come back.
He went back and forth on it but ultimately stated that he’s having fun doing what he’s doing right now.
No (I wouldn’t go back to WWE if I was called back right now)… Sorry bub… Oh yeah, I’d go back for that (millions of dollars)… (Going back for the same salary) when I left? I’d probably go back for a year or two for that. Yeah, it was alright (he smiled). But nah man, I’m having fun right now.
Among the groups Heath was a part of in WWE were ‘The Corre’ which was a spinoff of The NEXUS. He shared the story of how Vince McMahon came up with the name for The Corre and here’s his recount:
The true story behind it (The Corre’s name) is that Vince McMahon grabbed a napkin, drew a t-shirt on it and wrote, ‘Core’ but it was copyrighted. So he said, ‘Just add another R.’ So we’re like French or something. What is it? Spanish?
This Friday at IMPACT Wrestling’s No Surrender event, Heath will have the chance to earn an IMPACT World Title match when he competes in a four-way.
