An upcoming surgery for Angle.
The subject of the latest Kurt Angle Show podcast was WWE’s No Way Out 2003 pay-per-view. It was at that event that Angle suffered one of his neck injuries.
That led to a discussion about surgeries and Kurt shared that he is scheduled to undergo back surgery on March 21st. The surgeons are going to be doing a clean out.
Angle has a nerve running down his leg that has been giving him trouble. He was informed that not all of the pain will be gone, but he will not feel the pain going down his leg anymore.
I need surgery again so my neck is so jacked, it’s pathetic… Back is on March 21st.
They’re not gonna do any fusion or anything like that, thank God. They’re gonna clean it out. They’re gonna clean all the arthritis out because I have a nerve going down my leg and it’s bothering me and there’s pain in my lower back and so they’re gonna clean all that stuff out, take the bone chips out and the calcium and stuff like that. So he said I should be good to go after that. A lot of damage to my back but it’s not to the point where I need fusion.
Not all the pain (is going to be relieved). He said it might not relieve all the lower back pain but you’re not gonna feel the pain running down your leg.
Kurt was spotlighted at WWE Raw 30. He was featured in the D-Generation X segment and refereed the proceeding six-man tag.
