Christian Cage made his return to AEW in February.
At AEW’s first pay-per-view of the calendar year, Revolution, Christian Cage competed for the company for the first time since All Out 2022.
He had been unable to compete as he was dealing with an arm injury but Christian was consistently featured on-screen after All Out as a part of the story between ‘Jungle Boy’ Jack Perry and Luchasaurus.
On episode #62 of The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, Hardy gave his thoughts on the match between Jungle Boy and Christian at Revolution. He’s happy to see Christian back and mentioned that he did not have to undergo surgery for the injury he was dealing with.
I give Christian (Cage) big props because he was injured. It turns out he didn’t have to have surgery but he had to do some pretty tough and strenuous rehab to get back into the position he needed to be to be able to wrestle, work again and he came back in-in top shape and he looked like a million bucks out there with Jungle Boy (at AEW Revolution) and they had a great match and I was a big fan of it. It was a big win for Jungle Boy, truly an elevating match and I was very proud of Christian’s work and I thought Jack did a great job being the young guy who’s going to be one of the pillars in the future of AEW.
Matt is currently involved in a storyline with The Firm and recently, he fell in defeat to FTW Champion HOOK which secured HOOK a match with Stokely Hathaway.
