Ospreay is out of action for the time being.

In the second round of the New Japan Cup tournament, Will Ospreay bested his United Empire stablemate, Mark Davis. While competing, Ospreay suffered a right shoulder injury.

NJPW posted an update on Ospreay to their website and noted that he does not have a timetable for his recovery and is not cleared to compete at the 3/15 New Japan Cup show. Ospreay was scheduled to tag with Mark Davis and Kyle Fletcher.

The winner of the 2023 New Japan Cup tourney is heading to Sakura Genesis on April 8th to challenge Kazuchika Okada for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship.
