Despite the late start time on Friday, AEW Rampage saw an improved audience figure due to the strength of the NCAA lead-in.

The taped program from this past Friday averaged 474,000 viewers and approximately 235,000 (0.18) in the 18-49 demographic, per Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.

It was Rampage’s largest demo audience since December 23, 2022, and its highest audience figure since January 13 of this year with those numbers increasing six and eighteen percent respectively from last week.

Rampage was helped by the lead-in of Memphis vs. Florida Atlantic, which ranked third on cable with 2,377,000 viewers and 0.82 in the demo. Due to the game going long, Rampage did not start until 12:06 a.m. ET.

Rampage ranked #26 among cable originals due to the NCAA basketball tournament, which occupied nineteen of the top twenty rankings on cable this past Friday.

Of the non-sports programming, AEW ranked behind On Patrol Live, Love After Lockup, and RuPaul’s Drag Race.

In the 18-49 demo, Rampage increased 15 percent among men (highest since Dec. 23) and 14.5 percent among females (highest since Jan. 6) in the key demo.

The show did drop among adults 18-34 by eight percent while adults 35-49 grew 34 percent in the later time slot.

Adults 50+ decreased by ten percent on Friday.

Rampage will be moved again this week with the show being delayed until Saturday night at 10 p.m. ET.

This past Friday’s show included a main event between Daniel Garcia and Brody King, the AEW in-ring debut of Taya Valkyrie, and Powerhouse Hobbs defending the TNT Championship against Rey Fenix.
