Opening night one of WrestleMania 39 was John Cena challenging Austin Theory for the WWE United States Championship. Theory gave Cena a low blow and went on to defeat him.

During the singles match between Logan Paul and Seth Rollins, Paul hit a ‘Go to Sleep’ on Rollins. NJPW STRONG Openweight Champion KENTA reacted to it and tweeted out the following:

There was an announced attendance of 80,497 for night one.
Before the main event, Lil Uzi Vert performed ‘Just Wanna Rock’. He stood at the top of the entrance ramp alongside The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso) and threw up their hand gesture.
Trish Stratus and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Becky Lynch and Lita defeated Damage CTRL (Bayley, IYO SKY & Dakota Kai). Lynch pinned Bayley.
The likes of Stephen A. Smith, Ryan Garcia and Johnny Knoxville appeared on the WrestleMania 39 night one Kickoff show. Knoxville talked down on Sami, stemming from their match at WrestleMania 38. WWE later shared a video of Zayn and Knoxville talking things out.
