Timothy Thatcher and Saxon Huxley are the new GHC Tag Team Champions.
The duo won the championships from Takashi Sugiura & Shuhei Taniguchi on Thursday’s NOAH Majestic card at Ryogoku Kokugikan.
The match escalated after a series of double team maneuvers by the outgoing champions including Taniguchi scoop-slamming and choke-slamming his partner on top of Huxley.

Taniguchi landed with a penalty kick to the head of Huxley, who popped up and absorbed several ax handles before landing a big boot and finishing Taniguchi with a choke bomb.
The win ends the very short title reign for Sugiura & Taniguchi, who had just won the titles on April 16.
Thatcher and Huxley both worked in WWE with both being released from their contracts in 2022.
Thatcher is now a two-time GHC tag champion after previously holding the titles with Hideki Suzuki.
