A new NXT Women’s Champion is going to be crowned at Battleground on May 28th. The tournament to crown a champion began on the 5/9 NXT on USA Network. Tiffany Stratton bested Gigi Dolin and Lyra Valkyria defeated Kiana James to advance out of the first round.

On 5/16, it’ll be Roxanne Perez versus Jacy Jayne and Cora Jade versus Fallon Henley in first round matches.

A vignette aired to promote the individual who is behind the parking lot attacks.

The NXT Tag Team Championships were on the line and Gallus (Mark Coffey & Wolfgang) picked up a win over The Dyad (Rip Fowler & Jagger Reid) to retain.

In a tag match that saw Brooks Jensen and Josh Briggs defeat Tank Ledger and Hank Walker, Ledger lost a tooth.

In the main event, Bron Breakker tapped Trick Williams out with the Steiner Recliner. NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes attempted to make the save during the post-match attack but he was speared out of the air when he went for a springboard maneuver.

Dragon Lee accepted Heritage Cup Champion Noam Dar’s invite onto the Supernova Sessions talk show on 5/16.
