WWE extends Alexa Bliss’ contract

Bliss’ WWE deal has been extended.

This week, Alexa Bliss and her husband Ryan Cabrera shared the news that they are expecting a baby in December. It is going to be their first child together and Bliss found out she was pregnant in March.

While speaking to The Messenger, Bliss told the outlet that she had been preparing for her in-ring return and started to experience cramps. She then took a pregnancy test.

I was preparing for my return in the ring and I was just having really bad cramping. I thought that was weird. So then I just decided to take a test and then I think I said, ‘Oh s—t.’

Bliss last wrestled for WWE at the 2023 Royal Rumble Premium Live Event. Several months later, she was revealed as a participant on FOX’s The Masked Singer. Bliss stated that WWE gave her time off so she could fully dive into that experience.

She went on to add that WWE extended her contract and the situation between them is to come back whenever she is ready. Bliss is aiming to get back in the gym one month after giving birth.

WWE gave me time off for (Masked Singer) to kind of fully dive into that experience with rehearsals, vocal lessons, and all that stuff. Storyline-wise, I was not on TV anyway, so it really kind of worked out perfectly. (WWE) extended my contract, and so it’s just basically come back when I’m ready. Probably a month after the baby, I’ll start probably getting back into the gym, and getting ready to see what my in-ring return looks like.

Back in November 2020, Bliss stated that her contract with WWE was up in ‘three-and-a-half years’.
