Katsuyori Shibata will put his ROH Pure Championship on the line against Daniel Garcia on Friday at the Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view.
It is the first match to be announced for the show in which both competitors are known.
Tony Khan announced the contest on Saturday evening, pointing out that Garcia had pinned Shibata on AEW Dynamite.

The match in question took place on June 21st and pitted Garcia and Zack Sabre Jr. against Shibata and Orange Cassidy. Garcia scored the pin after Cassidy accidentally hit Shibata with the Orange Punch.
Both men also took part in a four-way match for Cassidy’s AEW International Championship at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
