Tsuji also shares who he’d like to meet in the G1 final.

Day two of New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s G1 Climax tournament is in the books. Yota Tsuji, who is the A block, has not put points on the board as of this writing.

Going into the G1, Tsuji made the media rounds and one of the outlets he spoke to was Rolling Stone Japan. The topic of AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door came up and Tsuji was asked if he’d be interested in crossing over to AEW. He expressed that he’s not interested right now, adding that he feels he’s not well-known to the world.

I don’t think so (have any interest in being part of the ‘forbidden door’ between AEW & NJPW). If I were to get on board at this point in my career, I would be turned into a horse for AEW. To be honest, I still feel that I am not a well-known wrestler in the eyes of the world, and if I go out there, I will just end up being, who is this guy? To be honest, I am not interested in AEW right now.

Tsuji returned to New Japan at Wrestling Dontaku and got an IWGP World Heavyweight Championship match at Dominion. Looking back on the match with SANADA, Tsuji stated that it went better than expected. He lost the match, but thinks he won as a pro wrestler.

I think it went better than I had expected (match with SANADA at Dominion). To be honest, I lost the match, but I think I won as a professional wrestler.

On the topic of the G1, when asked who he could see himself in the finals against, he named fellow Los Ingobernables de Japon member, Tetsuya Naito. Tsuji says by beating Naito, he’ll be destroying that the notion that the image of L.I.J. is Naito.

Tetsuya Naito (is who I want to face in the G1 final). By defeating Tetsuya Naito early, I want to destroy the image of Los Ingobernables de Japon as Tetsuya Naito.
